BN GP50L 5 Man Crew Cab

I first saw a model of this at a trainshow layout the modeler explained to be how he did this and i’ve been wanting to do one for years.

The way that I made this model was from two athearn GP50 cabs, I started by cutting the cab behind the window so that I wouldnt have to fill it in later, next I cut off the rear of the other cab so that there was only the rear part as thick as the plastic.

After doing a search on the internet I found the scale length (which escapes me atm) and cut a styrene strip to width and a little higher than the cab so I could sand it down later, next I took that same measurement of the cab front, back and the new spacer and cut the nose to the appropriate legnth.
