CAROLINA SOUTHERN MOVES OLD EQUIPMENT
FOR SCRAPPING...

On November 9, 2005 the Carolina Southern RR moved three old E8 engines that have
been sitting for years in a spur. They moved them one track over, out in the open in order
for them to be cut up for scrap.

Bryan McNiel, a fellow railfan, has a webcam set up at his office that just happened to catch
this move and I captured it with various screenshots, and created an animated gif out of it.
I only got the first part of the move. The switch is just out of view behind the trees on the left.
You can just see the front of the first E8 before the train backs up. - Chris
