Anyways, for people wondering how to photograph this location. It's not
very obvious from the highway, even though the road is right there (a
concrete barrier blocks the view). There is a continous wall on the
outside of the road (towards the river/tracks) from the Kootenai Falls
parking lot to where the road gets near track level. But on the inside
of the road there is a shorter section of concrete at the base of the
cliff. The location of the photo spot is the appox middle of the barrier
on the inside of the road. Since there is no way to park in the immediate
vicinity, you will need to park either in the parking lot or the pull off
at the west end of the Kootenai Falls Siding, and hike back. The hike is
long enough that chasing a train to this location is not fesible.
