The Meadows Revisited

On a bright and sunny end of April, I revisited Snake Hill and before that, a huge rock outcropping in North Bergen, NJ.

Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey Circus train heads north on CSX.  Train is leaving North Bergen, NJ and heading towards Little Ferry.

The end of the circus train passes.  The head end in now passing through Little Ferry yard.  The black bridge the train is passing under is the seldom used NYS&W Edgewater Branch.

A CSX local passes Granton Jct Tower which controlled the junction of the Susquehanna and the Erie's Northern Branch in North Bergen, NJ.

Leaving New York City in it's wake, Acela train 2163 passes through the Meadows at 3:07pm as a northbound NJ Transit train slows for it's Secaucus Jct stop.  Viewed from atop Snake Hill.

A westbound NJ Transit train skirts the NS Croxton Intermodal Yard, approaching Secaucus Jct station.  The huge blue building in the background is the US Postal Service facility.

A westbound NJ Transit Mainline train crosses the Hackensak River on former Lackawanna trackage.
