New York & Greenwood Lake Railway

Revisited

On a hazy Sunday May 20th 2007 afternoon, equipment  from the NY&GL sits in Norfolk Southern's Campell Hall, NY yard enroute from Passaic, NJ to their new home on the Laxawaxen and Stourbridge in Lackawaxen, PA.

Campbell Hall is also a stop on Metro North's Port Jervis line.

A Metro North/NJ Transit train accelerates eastbound having just made it's Campbell Hall stop.

RS 3 935 and GP 9 1268, along with business car Chestnut Hill, sit on the east leg of the Campbell Hall wye in the above and following scenes.

And lastly, the view looking west towards Port Jervis as two NS units await their next assignment.

This trackage is the former Erie Graham Line and the bridge in the distance crossed over the long abandoned New York, Ontario and Western Railroad.
