The Golden Horseshow offers a wide variety of locations for both the casual AND avid railfan, from the International Bridge in Fort Erie to the massive MacMillan (CN) and Toronto yards (CP) in the Toronto area. Many locations such as Bayview Junction in Hamilton, Chartwell Road in Oakville and Brantford's VIA Rail station also allow for up-close and personal encounters with freight and passenger traffic. All are readily accessible by vehicle and are viewable from public areas.
These web pages won't have a lot of bells and whistles and will be pretty similar in both design and navigation. The goal is to provide railfans with information about these locations as well as a few photos and directions. All links are clearly marked - using your browser's 'Back' button will return you to the previous page. External website links (under the heading 'Useful Links') will open in a new browser window - closing that window will return you to the previous screen. Clicking on an image's thumbnail will bring up a larger version of that image.
Please respect copyright laws - the photographs within these pages may be used for personal use. Any intended commercial use must be approved beforehand.
Most importantly,
Enjoy your visit!
