Canadian Pacific's Kinnear yard is located in the city's central east end, at the junction of Gage Avenue and Lawrence Road.  While not a major train-assembling point it IS a jumping off point for CP trains heading east up the Niagara Escarpment.  Switchers with short consists will also depart for the Aberdeen yard as well as heading west up the Niagara Escarpment to Guelph Junction.  While the standard assortment of switchers are found here - GP9's and SD40's, road units can also be seen - usually AC4400's.  Occasionally, the railfan may be rewarded with CP subsidiary units, notably SOO Line.
