CARRISO GORGE
Here’s some pics I took on the clearest day of 2006 so far!

BIG Picture!
(This is a composite of 4 pictures showing all the way from the Carriso Plain to the north, to the east portal of tunnel 7)

Lunch?
Sacatone Lookout's picnic bench!

Seven Sisters
In the background out there is the Salton Sea! (Also taken from Sacatone Lookout, this was shot with my Canon Pro90 and full lens reach of 10x)

Where's Waldo?
Where's the 2 Bighorn Sheep? These guys blend in, I've given you the full sized picture so you can have the best chance of finding them..

Here's the Sheep!
Here's the same pics with hints. (Not really hints, this is the answer to the puzzle. But even with this it's still hard to see 'em!)

What'a Ride!
What a way to head home from work...

This is Goat Canyon Trestle, to my understanding the largest curved wooden trestle in the US. The picture is taken from atop the mound of rocks that was blocking the entrance to tunnel 16 (west side) prior to Carrizo Gorge Railway re-opening the line

Several of the pictures linked to from here were taken using my little “point-and-shoot” Canon A610. This thing does OK! I bought a lens attachment that allows me to put 58mm filters on it, so I’ve used a polarizing filter for the 4 pictures that got PhotoStitched together, and the picture of the picnic bench at Sacatone Lookout. The picture of the “Seven Sisters” was shot with a Canon Pro90 at full lens extension (10x) and a polarizing filter.
