On Friday, I rode EC 115 to Augsburg to meet Dirk.
Dirk is a fellow ET 420 enthusiast, and hosts the ET 420 Website

A RegionalExpress stops at Ludwigsburg. The BR 146 is replacing the older BR 110s at an alarming rate.
Passengers board 420-462 for the 17 minute ride into Stuttgart.

This photo reminds me of the Bachmann Turner Overdrive song Taking Care of Business:

" Take the 8:15 into the city There's a whistle up above And people pushin', people shovin' "
V200 17 waits at Stuttgart HBF for a special train.
An Austrian "Traurus" locomotive leads an InterCity 2083, the Königsee. This train splits in Augsburg. IC 2083 continues on to Bertchesgarten, and IC 2297 goes to Salzburg.
A diesel hauled InterCity departs Augsburg.
A freight train flies around the corner at Augsburg Oberhausen.
GT4 417 approaches the Augsburg West station. Augsburg's GT4s all came from Stuttgart.
412 is going around the turning loop at Siebenbrunn Süd. Note how close the tree is to the mirror.
416 has just left the Wertachbrücke station.
420 creeps under the Fischertor. This gate is part of the medieval city wall of Augsburg.
Augsburg's GT4s only operate during rush hour. During other times, they are stored at the Augsburg tram depot. This building was Augsburg's first train station building.

On to Saturday
