Shane Deemer was born an Army Brat in Colorado while his dad was stationed at Fort Carson. Over the next 29 years, Shane has lived in 7 states and 3 countries:

Shane graduated from Copperas Cove High School in Copperas Cove, Texas, and later earned an Associate's degree in Computer Networking and Systems Administration from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. Shane currently works for a large computer company in the Greater Cincinnati area, and is working on his BS in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.
Shane lives in a flat in Fairfield, Ohio and lives with his cats, Bradley and Cali. Bradley was named after the friend he got him from, and the M2 Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Cali was named by her previous owner, and Shane saw no reason to change it. Shane drives a 2007 Saturn Aura (Opel Signum).
Shane has 2 brothers, one older (full time student at Shane's Alma Mater, TSTC) and one younger brother that lives somehwere between Harker Heights, New York City and Paris, France. His mom is a high school resource English and Art teacher who drives a BMW Z4, and his dad works for a home health care company. Shane's family has 2 dogs at home; Anita, a Dalmatian, and Kasha, a Pitbull.
Shane has always been interested in railroading, especially Military Railroads and German Railroads. He is currently the webmaster of Military Rails Online, which features current military railroads. In addition, he co-authored Comprehensive Guide To Industrial Locomotives and has had news clips and photographs published in various railroad magazines.
