It is 7PM on a warm evening in late March as Norfolk Southern F9A #4270 idles during a crew change in Bristow, VA.  The vintage diesel, along with two F7B units, are making their inaugural run for the company.  Trailing behind the F units are a string of 15 passenger cars, all painted alike in the traditional N&W colors of tuscan red with gold trim.  Each car gleeming, with a seemingly mirror like reflection.  A sight such as this makes you forget it's 2007.
