MILW 52062.  This boxcar was built in 1961 by Pullman-Standard for the Milwaukee Road.  Currently the Boxcar is painted in its 1970’s simplified paint scheme, but our plans will repaint it into its as delivered 1961 billboard lettering scheme with black ends.  Some of this cars neat details are that it has CMSTP&P cast into the trucks and the original doors.  Canadian Pacific switched the boxcar on June 21’st, 2006 and I installed Museum locks on it after the switching moves were completed.  Our current plans are to expand our museum display space and we also now have a place to store stuff.  Current plans are to convert the whole car to display room, which will include a mock depot office that will contain original office furniture from the old Sturtevant Depot.

Soo Line Gp38-2 is coming to swap the

boxcars around for us.

Canadian Pacific gave us a

boxcar to add to our museum

Stopping at the switch for the siding for our museum

Getting ready to throw the switch

Backing towards the boxcars

That will do.  We made the joint

Releasing the hand brakes

Amazing that the cars took air and the brakes worker after sitting for 20 years

pulling the cars out on the old R&SW

pushing the cars back on the Racine wye

This is a car we did not get (at least not yet)

So we are going to leave it here for a minute

Pushing our car down the siding for the museum

Getting the other car

Pushing back the cars, the car marked WUJRRC 1 is our boxcar.  As we clean the car and paint it I will update the pictures

MILW 42041.  This boxcar was built in 1961 by Pullman-Standard as 30041 for the Milwaukee Road.  Currently the Boxcar is painted in its 1970’s simplified paint scheme, but our plans will repaint it into its as delivered 1961 billboard lettering scheme with black ends.  Some of this cars neat details are that it has CMSTP&P cast into the trucks and the original doors.  We purchased this boxcar from Canadian Pacific, it was delivered to Sturtevant on June 30th, 2007.  Our current plans are to use this car for storage.
