Genevieve Langham McAllister (1916-2004)
My mother was born and raised in LaRue, a small East-Texas farming community that grew up along the Texas & New Orleans railroad after tracks were laid into the area in the early 1900's. LaRue is about thirteen miles southeast of Athens. Mom was the daughter of a local dry-goods merchant, W.T. Langham.
